Isn't the question more about the composition of shot? Remember there is a lot of fetishism in the camera department and you're using a £2k body with a top data rate of 24Mbps, not a £250k one writing raw 4K. It is easy to spend heavily on one component only for it to be held back by the rest.

I wouldn't worry so much about lens manufacturer, it's a low-budget shoot on prosumer devices and things like chromatic aberrations are not going to be a massive issue where the lighting is a pair of redheads - you get my drift :-)
