INDEX9.5mm film transfer to digital
10 years, 8 months ago - Tony Franks
I believe I have some Pathe 9.5mm film (that's the film width, with a single central perf) from the 1930s.
Can any Shooters recommend a place that can do digital transfers?
I have inherited the hand-cranked Pathex projector too, but still trying to get it to work...
Many thanks, Tony

On a previous show I had 9.5mm transferred to AVCHD [at the time he couldn't handle Pro Res but I believe he was working on it!] courtesy of this chap:

Do you have any idea what might be on the footage?
I'd ask the BFI library for starters; they may or may not be interested themselves, but should know where to point you

Try Vidipax in NYC. They do a lot of archiving and obscure formats. If they don't do it, they probably have connections to who can.
