A couple of questions about locations in and around London

10 years, 6 months ago - Nicholas Hughes

Hello

I'm in pre-production for a series of quickie comedy sketches and I'm currently scouting for locations. Here is the criteria:

1. Quiet and away from flight paths, train lines and traffic noise. The first sketch is set in Tudor times so a woodland or exterior Tudor locations would be ideal.

2. Easy to deal with local council or site management. I've had to deal with very officious councils before (naming no names) and private organisations who bleed your budget dry or change the hiring criteria at the last moment so if anyone has any experience of working with more relaxed or friendly organisations who charge a reasonable rate, I would appreciate feedback.

3. In London or just outside (20 miles radius).

It's a proposed one day shoot involving 1 actor and 4 crew.

I'd welcome any feedback of positive experiences you may have had with location filming in London. If you wish to email me instead of using the bulletins, please send it to Nicholas Hughes at ubercommando@gmail.com

Yours Sincerely
