A student production looking for a Roof Location

10 years, 8 months ago - Aadhar Gupta

I am looking for a building higher than 5-6 levels within central london to film our Graduation Film, which is to be shot over a period of 4 days from the 22-25 January, 2015. It is a very low budget production.

Any suggestions for locations would be very helpful.

What could be the possible cost?

If it's a student film, I guess you're using your university's insurance, so may be worth checking with the course tutors what is and isn't covered. For instance, it may be that the uni has a suitable tall building that would be covered by their insurance, but some genetic car park may not be. Better to find out now before going out on the blag only to find you're not insured!

Also, do you have a backup option? If I owned a tall building in central London with roof access, I'd be jumpy hearing 'student film' and 'low budget' - it may be tough to find the location you have in mind for cheap (for instance you may have to pay a maintenance guy to be on site to open up and supervise even if you get the location free). Successful production is having a plan B!
