Actors auditions for low budget projects - Manchester

I'm soon going to be looking for cast members for a short film, the short will be very drama heavy and so the chemistry between the leads is going to make or break it, however the budget is going to be tight.. In general, are there any cheap venues (or places that wouldn't mind giving a room for free for a short while) out there that I could use to hold auditions? Has anyone asked around and got a room for free? May circumvent this and ask for online auditions instead, however I'll still be needing rehearsal space? I've got the money to hire but am trying to keep costs as low as possible.

Are there any pubs near you with backrooms? Otherwise, church halls and scout huts are always good options.
