Hi everyone –
Just thought I’d share something I only clocked recently. I signed up to Screen Yorkshire’s crew directory ( https://www.screenyorkshire.co.uk/production-support/crew-facilities-service/ ) and, to my surprise, actually got contacted for a camera op gig through it. I never really thought these directories got used much, but clearly some people do check them.

– anyone had anything come through that? Seems worth being on everything - what's the harm really!

Indeed - back in my past when production manager at Associated British Pathé we used all the industry contact books: Kellys, Kemps, Knowledge (relatively new kid on the block!), Film and TV Yearbook and Spotlight Contacts, always sitting on my desk! I still have the 1974 ones at home now!

Mines a bit of a shambles over in Norfolk, I just found not many people are listed and I've never been contacted through it.

One thing I've found to be a nightmare is when people list their IMDB - you need pro to find their email, so a little non functional...
Does seem that whether they work is on an area-to-area basis!
