Advice - ND Dilter For Voigtlander 25mm f0.95mm

Hi,

I’ve just bought a GH2 with Voigtlander 25mm f0.95mm lens and am looking to by a variable/fader ND. The thread on my lens is 52mm but I was planning to buy a bigger ND and use a step up ring as I’m bound to buy more lenses in the future which may well have a bigger thread. I have a couple of queries though;
> If I buy an 82mm fader ND and use a 52 to 82mm step up ring, will there be any quality issues compared to just using a 52mm fader?
> What are people’s opinions on Genus ND Fader vs Tiffen Variable ND?
> Would it be ok to use the Genus 52 – 82mm step up ring with the Tiffen Variable ND (as I can’t seem to find a Tiffen 52 – 82mm step up ring)?

I've used a 77mm LCW Variable for years with no problems. Any step up ring will be fine.

As for using step up rings you should be fine, you may introduce a little more vignetting than usual, but that's just me guessing. Good Luck.
