Being somewhat left of centre I've always toyed with the idea of a co-op and tried to join one once. This involved being interviewed by a group of around twenty or so and two audition speeches. I thought all of this went very well getting a positive response and some laughs from what seemed like the bulk of the audience. I was therefore less than pleased to be turned down for reasons which were never clear although it was intimated that a couple of people just didn't take to me. This sounds a bit like blackballing to me, not the most effective means of selection ever devised. Is this how most co-operatives work? Probably a bit superfluous after the preceding, but if of any interest my showreel in on Youtube Mac McKenna showreel 2013.
Would still be interested to know how you select people though.
