INDEXAlternative to Spotlight

I'm a French national going back to acting after a long break, although I had extensive training in Paris with the equivalent of RADA, I have been denied membership.

So I'm asking you, great community if there is any other alternative to spotlight that you highly recommend. Even tried CCP but I've been turned down and was pushed to Total Talent... Any thought? Thank you all!

Spotlights easy if you've trained - just list the credits you've got from college, it says professional credits and drama school training as a way of keeping the site with professionals only but if you've trained at a RADA equivalent there is no way you shouldn't get in! Try again and put down your 5 best credits!

Thank you Pat! Shooting People has provided me with a few speaking jobs and a have a couple more in the pipeline! Most things I have done in this country is in post production so getting a showreel is going to be a slow process! I'm also doing well with other casting websites but I thought being on Spotlight books would be the cherry on top! Have a good day Pat :)

Salut Philippe I've also trained abroad and got on spotlight through training and credits in the US and France, so it should work for you too!

Hi Philippe - sympathy!! I would recommend applying for everything and anything that comes up to get speaking credits. Spotlight shouldn't be a problem once you have 5 speaking credits on anything - short films, theatre, commercials, corporate work, tv, whatever in the UK. I would also subscribe to the Arts Council website which has daily postings of both paid and unpaid work. Good Luck :-)
