Hi everyone,
I'm planning to do a test shoot in a couple of months, tips you feel may be invaluable would be appreciated.
Ref to lighting: Is there anything as too much movement , when wearing the body suit with the backdrop?
Thanks for reading !!

Experiment, play, try, test. Shadows are a major issue - you need to light the screen evenly, then turn that off, light the foreground (a good meter or two away from screen) for the scene, put the screen lights on, notice all the green 'spilling' (reflecting) from the green screen onto the foreground and spend the next hour trying to chase the spill and shadows until you go mad, and accept it's a bodge and a compromise. Green screen is hard to get right, easy to get wrong, but modern software is extremely forgiving. Experiment!!!

Hi Paddy,
Thank you and thanks for pointing out the finish of the bodysuit!
We'll be using large backdrop, which extends out approx 3m on the floor and possibly one side wall painted or muslin. 3 point lighting (2 softboxes and 528w LED with diffuser). The rest of the lights will be LED 528w,s.
The concern I have is shadowing as the subjects move around. I've watched a couple of video's and can see
shadowing can create issues. I guess that's the same as placing objects??
Anyway the good thing is the space and kit are mine, so we'll have the time to experiment and test it out as you said. Hopefully the gaffer will have some experience doing this.

Probably depends a bit on the quality of your setup. Chroma letting had become a lot easier with the tolerance and power of modern computers and keying systems.
As you need to light the background screen and foreground action separately and differently, it's going to possibly cause you wide apparent color variations, even if the screen and suit are identical fabric.
Cheap body stockings may not be a good matt finish, same for green screens. I'd suggest above all, do yourself some technical tests before your shoot day. There are so many variables, mail down what you can long in advance. The amount of movement ought not be important in itself for keying, but may cause secondary problems with the audience specially placing objects in your scene.
