Hi, I teach using Skype and screen-share so you could do it from home. Price would depend on the level and depth of what you needed, and how many lessons.

I also needed to learn how to use after effects and can honestly recommend just putting the hours in on YouTube. Learn exactly what you need to know, in your own time, for free! It may seem daunting but it's really not, within a few hours I went from zero experience to being able to do a number of cool vfx, must make sure you practice what you have learned each day and you will understand in no time. There are Adobe professionals on there who can teach you the fundamental concepts and theories so you have a good grounding in why you are doing what you are doing.

However, there is something to be said for having a real person you can actually query things with in real time so I guess it depends on how confident you are with self learning.
