I'm looking for recommendations on cheap-but-good insurer or solicitor to help with Errors & Omission insurance for a soon to be completed feature documentary.

A solicitor will not really help, it's an insurance product. You should contact a film insurer like Integro, PM and I can give you a number of a decent broker if you like
