Any UK Indie Production Company Recommendations?

6 years, 4 months ago - Miro Caminade

Hi

I've finally got my feature screenplay finished and looking to find a producer/production company interested, to try and get it made.

Does anyone have any production company recommendations? So I can send them the script, synopsis and pitch document.

And has anyone gone down this route before?

I see the film as an indie, British comedy drama... Son of Rambow meets The Florida Project.

Title: Rainbow Valley
Genre: Comedy drama
Log line: A painfully shy 'Arnie' obsessed young boy who lives in a wild, off-the-grid hippy commune, struggles to conceal his true identity in order to survive at school.

Thanks
Miro

In honesty, not many producers are taking spec scripts, or have a huge backlog! You may get further by starting to package it up a bit, and self-producing to a degree.

Yes, it can happen...rare but possible! Go through the list of production companies at PACT - a few will allow submissions to include the comedy genre - http://www.pact.co.uk/member-services/find-a-member.html
Try also the BBC Writers Room...
Good Luck!
