8 years, 4 months ago - Robert McGowan Camera-operator-london.co.uk

I'm thinking of the getting the Ursa Mini Pro, but I'd like to get an owners opinion first as I'm finding it hard to track down a demo unit, can you help ?

Hi Robert. I don't have one yet but am getting one in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait, it's great camera. Not a low light tool as you know but for everything else, I think it looks good. The improvements on the 4.6K mini make it a Hard camera to ignore. I was going to get the 4.6k mini so I'm very glad I didn't order that one before this one was released and that one was pretty great. Wish I could give you some hands on review but there are plenty of those on YouTube and Vimeo. I doubt you'll regret getting one.

Thanks for the contact James! Yes your right it does cover a multitude of bases especially for the work I do and my clients requirements. My only issue which is the main reason I'm holding off is the audio which I have tried to research, but to no avail. It seems with the older Mini there was a lag through the headphones monitor whilst recording !! Quite unacceptable as far as I'm concerned and a real deal breaker. So if you get a hold of one please let me know, best Bob

That's interesting, I hadn't heard of that issue before. I'd have thought you'd be recording audio through a dedicated receiver and the headphone would go through that(?) Will be putting it through it's paces when I get it so will let you know if I have any issues after a few hands on tests. I thought I'd covered every nook and cranny of this camera researching it...back to the net :)
