Anyone know of any SHOOTING LOCATIONS that could double as a LIVE COMEDY VENUE?

Hi, I have a feature film script set in a comedy club and am on the hunt for a shooting location that could act as a comedy club or live comedy venue. We are a low budget indie feature but are willing to dedicate a substantial portion of our budget to secure the right setting.

We will need to take-over the venue for 7-10 days. Any place with a bar and a stage would be ideal. Additional corridors and back-rooms would be a fantastic bonus.

Please give me a shout if you have a venue that fits the bill, or if you have shot a place that matches this description.

Thank you for your time.

You looking at a London location? Winchester Hall, part of the Turks Head pub in St Margarets, west London, is the venue for an actual comedy club - see http://www.bearcatcomedy.co.uk. During lockdown it would have been dead quiet, but with the pub opening tomorrow it might be trickier...

I have a friend who runs a comedy club in East London that's been used for filming previously, I'll get in touch and find out if this might be a possibility for you.

Is it ok to pass on your email to put you in touch should this be a possibility?

Many particularly older pubs have back-rooms that are basically unused now. I would look for convenient places, perhaps old coaching inn types, and just ask.

I'd contact the Backyard comedy club in east London, imagine they're very quiet at the moment and the money could help!
