I have been a professional photographer for 4 years, and I am now looking to follow my dream of becoming a Unit Stills Photographer.
If there are any current productions or soon to be productions once lockdown is lifted, that require such a role, please get in touch.
As a unit stills photographer on set I can create film stills behind the scenes and whilst the cameras are rolling to be used for marketing and publicity of your project. The photos can also be used to document the stages of filming.
My portfolio for stills photography is minimal, but I have plenty of other examples of work that show my attention to detail, high quality imagery and an eye for a great shot! You can find me on instagram @veronathomas_inmotion where I hope to be able to start posting my work.

Are you looking for paid or unpaid work? Production/get work tab here is probably a good place to add yourself.
Without a portfolio, and without being able to show your on-set experience (protocol, etc., too), you might want to volunteer and expand that at first. Perhaps offer to bag-carry a more experienced stills photographer a while to learn the shots needed and the discipline needed to steal them (since your time to get stills unless you have a camera silencer blimp thingy) will be 30 seconds before the unit gets to move setups, so actual shooting time is being lost to stills...
Might be a handy way to start :)

Hi Verona, I can help advise if you had any particular questions as I know it’s hard starting out. I’m a Unit Stills Photographer, shooting now for 8 years. Unfortunately, budgets are so tight and now with the pandemic, it’ll be rare for set photographers to have assistants. Unless it’s on the big Hollywood movies.
