La Haine, great film with a powerful agenda for city kids.

Both of the above are good choices, if I had to pick, i'd go for the Edukators as its feels more relevant to our times, the Wave however is a little edgy but still a good film to show the kids, try maybe the original 80s version, but both are worth looking at.

German film called, THE WAVE, about a teacher who conducts a class experiment about fascism.

How about Hans Weingartner's 2004 film THE EDUKATORS (15) - http://pro.imdb.com/title/tt0408777/

Great film about cool kids making a statement against rampant consumerism by breaking into rich folks' bijou mansions and not actually stealing anything, but re-arranging furniture and leaving ominous messages (eg "Your days of plenty are numbered"). Of course they have a great deal of fun while doing this as well as pursuing their ideological agenda, so it will appeal to your class and also provoke discussion on a wide range of issues.
