Anyone with major contacts in DVD or online distribution

Hello Shooters, in talks with a major UK company about shooting a series of corporate films. Great prospectus and team coming together, but would love to have expressions of interest from an established DVD distributor, also with experience of online content. Anyone representing or connected to a media distribution company I could chat to?

Thanks Paddy. The client will be shooting a series of instructional videos that they will want to distribute by DVD and online. I hope that helps.

Corporates and DVD distribution aren't things I'd normally think of going together - almost by definition the corporate film is for... a corporate client and so not of much wider interest or relevance. How is this different, it may help someone think of the right partner company for you?

Do you need a distibutor?
To distribute online why not just use Vimeo Pro VOD where the producer takes 90% of income. DVDs are cheap to manufacture (less than a quid each including packaging and printing if you order 1000) and easy to distribute via Amazon, eBay or your own website.

The client might be better off with Lulu or one of the other on demand companies. A 'distributor' is typically someone who will buy/lease the rights, manufacture the DVDs and take the financial risk. They might find someone like that, but it'd be extremely specific if these are corporate training films, so a specialist company who already have the exact audience in mind. And that would require some decent sector knowledge. Best asking them where they currently buy those specific kinds of DVD, then going to whoever distributed them already.
