Are there any producers/financiers who would be interested in reading my horror screenplay

7 years, 7 months ago - WAYNE CURTIS-TRAVIS

I have pitched my script logline etc. for seven months but no-one has requested to read it. I am surprised at this as it is a very unusual screenplay. I believe it has cult potential, as well as high profit margins/low production costs. It would probably be low budget, I have pitched it as medium but this is only a guess.
I know the location well, and could assist greatly with places to film it.

I will be writing another Dartmoor based screenplay shortly, this will be a tense thriller.

Is there anyone out there who wants to be involved in a seriously deep, dark production?

Hi Wayne have you seen the post below for a horror short to be filmed in Yorkshire. Might be a good start or an opportunity to start a dialogue?

Hi Wayne - I'm looking to develop a slate of low-budget horror films (a case of not having all eggs in one basket). Please send logline, summary and/or script to glyn@storiesintolight.co.uk. Dortmoor huh? Know it well. Creepy and underused! - Glyn

I would interested in having a read. I do SEIS/EIS investor docs and know the necessary compliance to get an SPV ready for tax relief. I do that in a consultancy capacity for Philip Gambrill www.philipandco.co.uk an accountant who specialises in film tax relief. Does accounts for Raindance.

Just a reminder to all you writers that you can showcase your screenplays in the Script Pitch section of the site. Write a log line, a short synopsis, and a little bit about yourself and what you are looking for and submit it here: shootingpeople.org/scriptpitch

Not only could your film idea get promoted via one of the Script Pitch bulletins, it might even win the Pitch D'Or, a metaphysical award so precious that Rupert Murdoch once tried to buy a 51% stake in it.
