Check out South Thames College. I did a sound course there ten years ago. Very well equipped with two recording studios and excellent professional level staff. It's an HND, so only one year, but you're surrounded by genuine musicians rather than kids with A levels. A very good intro to sound.

Proper film sound design courses are rare. Some will claim to be, but are no way near.

Take a look at NFTS (do you have a rich dad?)

The best course for sound design in London is at London College of Communication. My flatmate is doing it and the mind set and the practice is just amazing there. It is a quite demanding course, but in my opinion if you are keen on sound design, that is the choice!

Thank you all so much for your help! I'll check all the courses you suggested. Is the nfts considered to be the best? You have to be rich to do it!
