Hi,

I've been submitting a feature horror scripts to various festivals on filmfreeway. Some of them, including the UK and LA ones look legit but I've noticed a few have cheap looking websites and badly written content despite claims of professional feedback and industry networking.

I'd read that the new CEO for filmfreeway was tackling fake festivals by only paying promoters after the festival event, although some seem to be purely online only.

I sometimes wonder what the criteria for actually winning festivals might be, as I've seen a festivals where the winning films seemed not particularly interesting, although normally the visual quality is good.

I'd wondered if anyone had much luck entering scripts to festivals and any recommendations?
