Best Platform to Host Film for Festival Submissions?

3 years, 4 months ago - Lynwood Shiva Sawyer

Hello, O Great SP Hive Mind,
Many years ago I made a short film (it actually was 10 minutes too long). A brilliant editor trimmed it down to a zippy 19 minutes, and I want to begin submitting it to Festivals via Film Freeway.
The last time I used Vimeo, it was a low-key, almost free service. I see that like so many other once wonderful sites, it has now gone corporate.
I need to host the trailer, and web / hi-res | plain / subtitled files for a total of 15 GB.
Would the Vimeo 6 quid a month plan suffice?
Or does anybody recommend a better platform?
Thanks, guys.

I use Film Freeway which is the most commonly supported. Those that don't usually will say which to use.
I also use Vimeo Plus but if I remember the upload limit per week is 5GB.

Hi, Darren,
Thank you so much. Even though I'm already a Film Freeway, I did not realize that Film Freeway hosted films. That's great to know. It might be sufficient for my needs.

Yes, you can only upload to 10GB or link to somewhere else that is hosting it.
