best ways of digesting Arri technical download papers?

I was just wandering if anyone had a good methods of remembering / practical application of some Arri's technical papers I'm currently reading the XR module one - their paper really are extremely good but wondered about practical implications on set and in a technical setup sense of the word.

Any advice?

Get your hands on the camera/kit and experiment! You can try out some of the theoretical knowledge in practice and get a real feel for the technology. See if you can assist in the camera department on somebody's shoot, for instance.
