BFI Short Funding Question

4 years, 9 months ago - Paul W Franklin

I'm applying for the BFI Shorts scheme, and am wondering if anyone knows:

Does it matter if I'm applying as 3-in-1 writer/director/producer?
Do you think I'm more likely to succeed if I have a dedicated producer on board?

cheers.

From the BFI short film funding guidelines:

Projects need to have a writer, director and producer attached before an application can be made. Teams need to have a minimum of two individuals across the three creative roles, e.g. separate individuals who are a writer-director and producer respectively, or a director working with a writer-producer. Director-producers are not eligible to apply.

So, you can't be all three.

Yeah I just realised I'd already downloaded that and not got around to reading it. Sorry, lazy of me!
Thanks
