Dear shooters.
I need to do a blue ray of my film ( about 62 min long), for submit to a Festival.
I would like to know if anyone knows here in London where I can do this and how much it could cost.
I have both the .mov and the project in Final Cut 7.
Thanks

I'm also preparing Bluray for festival delivery but for the moment I've decided to do it myself as I can't afford professional mastering just now.
Before deciding to do my own I did a bit of research about professional services in London, so I'd be interested to hear how much these guys quote you.
These are the places I found:
Adapatech in Chiswick 020 8987 6161 http://www.adaptatech.co.uk/Blu-Ray_authoring.html
LBF in Covent Garden 020 7497 1515 http://www.ibf.co.uk/#/encoding-dvd/4526903611
10th Planet in Southwark 020 7434 2345 http://www.10pdm.com/services/mastering/blu-ray-authoring
Soho Transfer in Soho 020 7292 5151 http://www.sohotransfer.co.uk/bluray.html
Cheers, Kieron.

Hi Fernando
we do Blu-ray authoring but were not based in London so you would have to send your film to us on a hard drive. Export in the native codec of your timeline and send that.
If you just want an auto play disc with no menu then 62 min film will cost £132.55 + vat + shipping (approx £10)
This assumes your timeline is 24p or 50i or you want to pitch shift 24p to 25psf in 50i for UK. Most people want a 24p version from a 24p timeline but depends on what the festivals you want to send to will want fro you.
This will be for a single master blu-ray with disc print in a hard c-shell case. Assume you supply art for disc on-body.
Additional copies on blu-ray will be £1.66+vat for a printed disc in a c-shell case. Other packaging options exist and other authoring options like subtitles and menus will be extra.
regards

We provide a blu-ray 'screener' included in our grade-online packages for features. We would be able to do the blu-ray for you for a very competitive price (ie. cheaper than most quotes and not charging VAT).
As a colour grader I only started providing this service to my clients because they were getting their Blu-rays done elsewhere then sometimes coming back to me with gamma shift problems on the disk - In the end it was easier just to do it ourselves to have full confidence in the output.
Note - this is isn't an authoring service for distribution (menu's etc) but an autoplay disk suitable for festival submissions. We can handle 5.1 and stereo but not dolby encoding.
