Hi Shooters,

I am a writer/director who has just relocated from London to Bournemouth and I’d love to hear from any producers, directors, DoPs and other technicians in the area as I’m keen to continue making films, promos etc and would very much like to establish some local connections.

More about me here: www.sugarspunpictures.com

My showreel: https://vimeo.com/41037487

Thanks
Carlo Ortu

I am thinking seriously to move to Bournemouth.
Am interested in financing micro budget films, around 2-3 k£,without having the fiscal responsabilty to hire people. If you have anything concrete let me know, please.
Am not interested in Kickstarter or similar projects.

Have been in contact with different people about funding micro budgets and all of them wanted favours, kickstarter projects,
Help me with tax incentives,or I have to take fiscal responsabilities towards the short film.Etc...
Am interested in none of them.
Looking for s short film, wilh a existing script.
And having a chance to find my money back on the long run.

Hi Carlo,

I'm based in Bournemouth and organize the Bournemouth Scriptwriters Feedback Group. We meet monthly to give feedback on each other's scripts, so that would be a good place to start to meeting people from the filmmaking community down there.
You'd need to join via the Bournemouth Screenwriters Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/911698278905310/

Also join Bournemouth Creatives facebook group, which most of the local filmmakers are on: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2367347450/

There are a few companies down here:

www.whitelanternfilm.co.uk/ - Their feature film K-Shop which was shot in Bournemouth is currently on Netflix, and director Dan Pringle organises a lot of local get togethers.

www.treehousedigital.com/ are involved in a lot of projects and their short film Litterbugs is currently doing well on the festival circuit.

outpostvfx.co.uk/ A small vfx company working A-list hollywood films.

http://www.bfxfestival.com/ A big 3 day event in October run by Bournemouth University.

Happy to meet up for a coffee sometime, and if you friend me on facebook I can put you in touch directly with a few other people. https://www.facebook.com/paul.campionfilmmaker

Cheers,
Paul
