You should be able to make a simple DVD from iMovie. Anything that iMovie plays will work. I don't really understand your message but I hope this helps. Good luck Andy

It's difficult to know from your message exactly what is going wrong for you.
I use iMovie to create movies which I then export to a folder on my Mac. I then open iDVD, create a Theme and use the "add movie" option to connect to the movie (in the folder). Once you have done this you can "preview" to make sure it is working OK. Then load a blank DVD into your Mac and click "burn".

If this doesn't help then please give more detail about where your movie is and what format it is in.

A good help source are the "Missing Manual" series of books which provide information and instructions that Apple does not supply.

Best wishes, Bromley
