I am looking for autocue hire for one day in central London. I have never used autocue before but need it for this direct to camera talking head piece. I have found a few places on line through google but would appreciate a recommendation as I have no experience at all with this.

Thanks

Liza

Was going to suggest the iPad app too. I use iPrompt and New Day Pictures based in Kingston have a iPad Teleprompter kit for hire at £35 GBP per day.

Buy an app called Teleprompt+ for your iPad - I used it on a corporate and it's very cheap - what's more you can use it with an auto cue box or just straight in front of the camera (i.e. as is or in mirror format) and you can control the speed of the script with an iPhone. You can either type in the script or dropbox it straight in. Brilliant piece of kit.

There's a cheap alternative, using a monitor just below the camera and shooting zoomed in from a distance. The eyeline difference isn't noticeable and it can be as simple as a friend scrolling through a word document on a laptop for you.
