Can anyone recommend a small studio space for a 7min short in the Dorset and Bedford regions?

Been let down by location. Looking for a new studio space or dark quiet place appropriate for filming a 7min short in either the Dorset or Bedfordshire regions? Set is purely a desk.... a chair.... we don't need a lot of space....

Where about in Dorset are you looking? Also what sort of space? What are your requirements?

How about asking a serviced office company? They have ready dressed desk and chair offices standing by. Come to Bath and I'm sure one of the 40+ small empty offices around the city will do a short let!

Hi Mikel, Gemma and Paddy. Thanks for those pointers, very much appreciated. Mikel, hv heard of them but I don't think the budget will stretch but thank you. Gemma, usual office space, something we can make dark and quiet to film in, for one day only, anywhere in Dorset, the production is small... we're mobile... and Paddy, grew up in Bath and first job in Video and TV (30yrs ago) was there in Box so would love it. I've heard of office spaces being rented out but not knowing who to go to or if they'd stare at you vacantly if I just rock up and ask... but maybe I should?!

Just ask. There will doubtless be a local serviced office company, in Bath you could try Regency Offices who have at least 6 empty rooms in my building alone, and two new services office suites opened this summer from other companies.

You could try FlexiOffices who you can give details to and who'll suggest a few in your city. There's no charge or commission, and you get in touch directly with the serviced office managers. Or as I say, I can almost certainly get you an empty office for a weekend in Bath for a fairly notional cost as there's a glut just now.

I may have access to something on Portland. My dad owns a business park there and we have a lot of spare rooms. They would need to be dressed though. We may have a spare desk or to in storage onsite. I would have to check. Let me know if your interested.
