Can anyone recommend a UK FAQ about the use of trademarks and copyrighted images in film?

Specifically I want to know is if I make something about Star-Trek, can I say wear a starfleet logo teeshirt, reference character names and is there a way I can include a still of, say, the Enterprise?

Not sure of any FAQs but can tell you that you can do what you suggest, as long as you never show anyone and don't use it for any purpose to promote yourself or business or film or anything really. You would need to get licensing approval from Paramount Pictures or whoever.

Remember that guy a couple of years ago who actually made Storm Trooper helmets for the SW films, then starting using his original moulds to make some to sell, well he got knobbled by Lucasfilm...
