Can I allow a character to wear a Halo3 T shirt in my short film and to refer to playing the game?

Hi

I have a character in a film who wears a Halo 3 T-shirt and who refers to the game and who plays the game in the film. Does anybody know if I can do this or will I need some sort of Licence? I think I will but am hoping somebody can show me a way around the problem. As a final resort we can change the name etc but would prefer to use the original Halo 3 name and game.

thanks

Liza

Woah!!!! Ok thanks for that. Just asking no need for such a personal attack! for the record its not for something commercial of course !

Come on people....be kinder to fellow film makers.

In short, no! Not without permission. To me this sounds pretty obvious! If you own the Trademark or Design, then yes. But I'm assuming that you don't. The ONLY way around it, short of just doing it and hoping for the best, is to get permission.

How would you feel if someone took your Design or Trademark and used it commercially without your permission to sell their wares? You'd be on the phone to your lawyer in a flash.

Come on people, use some common sense!
