Can someone give me some direction in finding contributors for a documentary?

Hi folks

I am in R&D for a documentary about people with weird and unusual hobbies- we have to find 6 contributors, I've managed to find 3 suitable - I got some feedback which was basically: I need to find 3 more people who are undiscovered by national media for having an unusual hobby. If it's been covered in the Metro, it's been overdone.

My other 3 contributors have already been covered by national press so I need 3 more who haven't. How do researchers usually go about finding undiscovered contributor gold?

Can anyone suggest where I might start looking?

Many thanks

Hey Corry
Do they need to be UK based? (assuming so) Sorry if this is obvious but have you hunted around Reddit? Most stories/talk/weird things are discussed there 'these days'. It's kind of a goldmine for stories, odd things, people digging up odd stories and posting them, etc. You could even put a post up saying what you're looking for, you'll probably get some stuff sent your way.
