Cinematography course

8 years, 11 months ago - Paolo Fosso

My sister-in-law wants to study cinematography. She is already a good photographer, but never applied her skill to movies. What kind of course would you suggest her to attend? She's looking for something technical, specific and practical in UK. Thank you!

If you scroll down the Ask list a little way you will find that someone recently asked pretty much the same thing. And here's the link to it: https://shootingpeople.org/ask/view/d6d2487be7ebce66c6fd3750

Depends where she is but the crossover from stills to movies is easily taught to someone who already knows stills if they have a knowledge of film speeds, lighting and lensing etc. I can give tuition as I founded the Brighton Film School and was on the team which created an MSc in cinematography and was taught personally by Jack Cardiff.
