Colourist looking for projects

4 years, 10 months ago - Vanya Tomova

Hello Shooting People,

My name is Vanya Tomova. I am a colourist based in London and I am able to work remotely on a professional grading suite. I'm just finishing a full length documentary and I'm looking for cool and interesting projects to colour grade (even for free). I would love to collaborate with DOPs and directors.

Please drop me an email if you are interested - vanya.colour@gmail.com.
Thank you!

Best,
Vanya

Hi Vanya,

Do you have examples of your work that I can see?

Hi Vanya,

Hope you are well. I am currently in development stage of a short I have written and will be directing.

The narrative progresses in different settings, and colouring is vital as I want each section to bleed from one colour scheme to the other, eventually ending in grey scale. If this is something you would be interested in taking on, I would love to see some examples of your work and get in touch with you once my team secures the funding.

This is the short description of the project:
A trans man deals with the death of his father by killing himself in an delirious effort to find him in the afterlife – a waiting room in the basement of a high rise. His journey there, consists of flashbacks from his childhood with his father, and the scene of his drowning. Becoming a man for a boy is tied with complex relationships and associations with the father figure. In this case, where this transition includes a physical transformation, we see a literal embodiment between father and son. The death of the father therefore results in the death of the son as the two bodies are mutually linked in this complex relationship of gender and identity.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Vasiliki
