Corridors with motion sensitive lights in London

12 years, 2 months ago - Stuart Hall

Hi all

I'm trying to find a location for an element in a music video and I need what seem like endless corridors, preferably with motion sensitive lighting in London. I have tried Google, but nothing comes up. I'm thinking potentially hospitals, uni's, warehouses, etc...

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It would have to be this week and evenings are better.

Many thanks,

Stuart

Creative filmmaking often requires cheating, so a couple of thoughts for you-

Motion activated lights will drive you bonkers if they stay lit for say 20 mins after seeing movement - that means at least 20 mins from setting the shot up to getting it, and at least 20 mins waiting motionless in between takes. Better to simulate what you want either with the house lights or your own which you can control.

Infinity tunnel - you can help yourself here by using a very wide angle lens, which stretches distance in a shot. You may also consider getting a scenic artist to paint you a panel to use at the end of a shorter tunnel which continues the look into infinity, or a green screen and matte in post.

Stuart,

It would be useful to know area wise, - N/S/SE? Could ask a few univs or hospitals but get permission first and you would probably also have short time window to film in. I have a idea of what you mean. 32,000K I depends on the depth look you are trying to achieve.

I can't think of any directly might do If i knew where you were roughly.

Thanks and best of luck with the idea.

John
