Council flat/estate location

3 years, 4 months ago - Guy Taylor

I am producing a short film based on a true story about a Somali man, Abdi, suffering from PTSD as he struggles to win his father's love and fulfil his potential. What we believe makes this short film particularly powerful is that the main character is being played by the person whom the story is based off of.

For the shoot we need the interior and exterior of a council flat and this is something that we're currently struggling to fill within a low budget.

We would be looking for 2 days interior shooting and 1 day exterior between the 9th and 12th April 2022.

We have a small location budget but most quotes we're being given from official location sites are above what the budget of the entire film is!

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Guy

+1 for Ben.

Seriously, this is just hustle. Ring the buzzers of likely places.

A tenant can even sign a location release as it comes under their rights to quiet enjoyment of the property.

You only need Council (landlord) permission if the exterior shoot might be deemed creating a nuisance or obstruction. But the interior, no probs.

I'm assuming you are fully insured.
