I am about to start filming " My Jewish Auntie " in Leeds and I need a director. I'd suggest having a budget in mind, even ballpark, and an idea of how you'll raise it! Features are very much more expensive than shorts, for instance, but also attract tax incentives. Knowing what you're aiming for will give you a chance to know when you find it ;-)

Hi Wozy, no particular budget in mind just yet. Hoping to start a collaboration and take it from there. Genre wise drama, thriller or something inspirational.

Thanks for the update Marianna. I would suggest perhaps looking at a short first to test the relationship with a collaborator. That way you can also get it up and running much quicker as the budget will be less. And then when you pitch a feature to investors, you can show them your drama/thriller etc short as proof that you can direct narrative films.

I'm working on something at the moment that already has funding in place that may be of interest to you. It's Sci-fi though (not spaceships and lasers mind you). If you'd be interested, send me an IM.

Hey, Maria,

I don't know if you're going to be attending any of the Raindance events, but if so it would be nice to meet.

I have a very shootable 20-minute short, HOME iS WHERE THE PARK IS, based upon a stageplay by a talented LA playwright, Trudy Ross. A Mummy on the verge of losing her Yummy confronts a Dosser who isn’t exactly what he pretends to be in a Croydon Park after the riots.

It's a great vehicle for a talented actor and actress.

I'd be happy to send you a copy of the script if you're interested.

Although the SYMBIONT poster is there, it's not listed in the credits. Maybe because it's in the financing stage. Nor is VAMPIRES OF HOLLYWOOD, which is in preproduction and has Daryl Hannah and Malcolm MacDowell attached.
