Director looking for an awesome producer to collaborate with on some short films...

7 years, 5 months ago - Arthur Sempebwa

Hi SP Community! I'm a writer/director looking to team up with a passionate, up-and-coming producer for a couple of short films this summer. My dream is to direct a feature length Musical set around the early 90's, so the music, fashion etc would reflect that period. So thats the big picture but to get there I want to make a series of shorts where I can explore dynamic dance sequences, build a style & quality that really pushes the team's skill set to a whole new level. The aim of the shorts is to practice, build an audience & explore ideas, not for film festivals or to change the world.

So id love to have a partner that is passionate about film, music & dance (basically like it)! The music would be old school new jack swing and pop; think Bobby brown, Janet Jackson, soul to soul. If you have know clue who those people are or even like that type of music then this might not be for you haha.

Here's my site: www.heyarthur.com
This is what I am aiming for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDSCiyBgBaQ&t=65s

If this sounds like something you'd like to be part of then it would be great to hear from you and see of what you've done in the past. Got some drafts scripts available & lined up for the right person, with production taking place in London hopefully with your help in the next 2/3 months.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Arthur

Hello Arthur,

Thanks for your call out.

As well as this, I suggest you also add details of what you're looking for to the 'Production' > 'Get People" part if the site (https://shootingpeople.org/production/people/post/crew). This will mean your post will be searchable in the Production directory and details will be included in the bulletins.

Good luck with it.
Helen
