Disused overground stations (London/Surrey)

4 years, 3 months ago - Andrew Ionides

Hi folks!

Hope all is well in the heat!

I'm looking for a disused overground train station with a platform, or a location that could pass as a station with a platform, for a potential shoot later this year.

I'm aware of one between Highgate and Finsbury Park but wondered if anyone know of any others in London or Surrey?

Thanks in advance!

You'll really want one where the line is disused*, OR look at heritage railways, esp if you can shoot before or after their open hours,. or out of season.

Andrew, This one - Osterley & Spring Grove - might be a long-shot. The line is still used but platforms remain... not sure about access but maybe call the bookshop that sits in the old station?

Andrew, Any luck with Osterley & Spring Grove? (see my suggestion, above). Tony

Thank you Ima!

Hi Tony, thank you for the suggestion. I haven't visited Osterley & Spring Grove yet but I did find a YouTube video of someone visiting the bookshop. Unsurprisingly, looks like only railway workers can access it which means I would need to get permission from London Underground. Ideally I need a station with a arrival sign too but doesn't look like there's one there.
