Seems the scammer has taken a bit of care to remain anonymous.

Wonder what the scammer's planned scam method is? Obviously, he/she will try to move money from my pocket to his/hers, but I wonder in which way does he/she dream of achieving that transfer?

@Alwyne Kennedy

Two ways come to mind - one is advance fees of 10% put into "escrow" against the "loan". This was very popular with Floridian loan-based scammers a few years back, they would set up semi-fake banks in New Zealand offshore transactions, and basically rinse the escrow.

The other would be to flush the account with stolen money (eg stolen cards, transfer) for more than the "loan"/"investment" value by "mistake", then ask you to return the difference via some unrecoverable method (Western Union/iTunes Gift Card). Of course the stolen money gets returned to the rightful owner and you're out the "difference"

Yes, I got the same as well. Done some looking around on the site and there is this at the bottom. The company may be legit, but the email is not

Email Fraud Notice
Email fraud schemes are currently circulating on the Internet using Saudi Aramco's name to solicit job applications or contract proposals, and require the victims to pay job-application or other processing fees. Sometimes, the scams take the form of telephone calls rather than emails. Certain versions of this scam are very sophisticated. Occasionally, a scammer will send a fake check for a large amount of money to the victim to cover the "processing fees." The scammer hopes the victim pays the fees before discovering that the check is fraudulent. If you do receive an unsolicited email offering you a job at Saudi Aramco, this is a scam. Do not send any money.

The best way to be directly in contact with Aramco recruiters is by applying to an open position at www.aramco.jobs or www.saudiaramco.com. We will not ask for money for a visa application or for any other type of fee. If your qualifications match the job requirements, a company recruiter will be in touch.

This warning is issued to the general public as a public service. Aramco Services Company, its parent and subsidiary companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents will not be liable for any losses incurred as a result of these unauthorized activities.

Alwyne I received the same...and exactly as you I noticed the wrong spelling about aramco....so I simply not replied. It's scam, probably he would like to ask you some bank account details and then in a way or another steal your money or your bank account data to clone them etc...

Scammers are really smart(they think they are) so in this case he created a linkedIN account, the company he is trying to pretend to be employed within is real, but ...in my opinion is just a plan to scam.

My email reply I got today:

Hi Martyn,

I'm looking to invest anything in the areas of $150k - $30 million to finance the production of any nice project ( Feature film,
Documentary, TV Series, Web series, Theater) with prospect. A director/ film maker with a good content is whom I seek and in return I ask that a special appreciation be giving to my late daughter at the end of the movie. Directing a movie of her own was her life long dream before cancer took her away from me right before she could achieve this dream, after grieving I vowed to help see her dreams come true by helping someone who shares the same passion of directing a movie accomplish his or her dreams. I came across you as I was surfing for director, content creator or a producer seeking funding.

I was born in UAE ( united Arab emirate ) and I married into one of the royal families of the middle east. I moved to America after high school to further my education and lived in New York for a while then moved to Louisiana where I went to Louisiana State University for my Bsc and I moved to California for my Msc and where I finally settled down. I presently work for Aramco Services here in the states as drilling & completion fluids engineer in greater Los Angeles. Our company is a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco the Saudi Arabian national petroleum and natural gas company based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

I consider myself one of the few lucky people blessed to get their dream job as I have always wanted to work in the oil and gas sector. I attached my resume to help you get a better knowledge of me.

I would have love to arrange a phone call with you or suggest we meet in person and discuss this through but I just got back to work after mourning and I'm currently offshore on the gulf coast of Alaska oil rig and we are not allowed access to phone to avoid oil/gas explosion ( a safety Precautionary measure ). I can not ascertain the exact date of my return onshore as I am currently working six month onshore and six month offshore, but I wouldn't want this to delay anything as I can set the ball rolling and make available funds needed for the project prior to my return as soon as we reach an agree on the terms and sign a contract.

What I look for :

- A good content with prospects.

Reason why I am investing :

- To make my late daughter's dream come true.

I recently loss my daughter to cancer, she was in her mid 20's and was in the process of producing her first movie. Her passion for movie making was something she developed at a very early age and I did everything in my powers to support her until her last days. Her only wish on her dying bed was that I support entertainment.

Time Schedule of investment :

- Funding can be made available as soon as possible if you have a great content.

Interest rate :

I don't intend to give funding as a loan because I'm aware it 's almost impossible in the film business to determine which project is going to be a success or how well a movie will turn out until it's done and people went to see it in cinemas. I know film business is a risky field and there are no guarantees, many hits failed and many outsiders succeeded. Hence I will invest with all the risk that it brings and we can negotiate about the share from the profit as a co-producer.

Percentage from profit :

- Make me an offer

Consider me an Angel investor and have in mind that I'm not going to base my selection of whom to support on the magnitude of jobs you've handled in the past or your level of experience, rather it will be based on your passion for what you do and your willingness to put your effort towards doing a great job. I am not running a credit check to determine who qualifies to get funding from me as I stated above that I am ONLY doing this for my daughter but I will consult to authenticate the prospect of your project, the aim is to make a good movie.

If you have the passion and believe you have a great project ( Feature film, Documentary, TV Series, Web series,Theater) that you're
interested in getting funding for and do not mind my terms above please email me your business plan and investor memorandum of the project you are seeking funding for if you have one for me to see. I will get back to you.
