Camera/Lighting Recommendations Current Film Talk Producing

Does anybody know of any London based Camera?Lens/Grip Hire Companies who hire to Small Film Companies and Individuals with good prices?

I am currently in pre-production for my next upcoming short and we are looking at hiring some extra equipment for the short film including Lenses, Grip and Monitor. We have a very limited budget (my own wallet) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any London Based hire companies who are reasonable for a lower budget.

We are shooting on the Canon 5D Mark 3 over 3 days and would be willing to discuss being a part of the full project and would be happy to show the script.

We are really excited about the film and would love to push the project to the next level by using extra equipment. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jamie,

Many thanks for replying. Unfortunately this will be my first time hiring and my D.O.P doesn't have connections available to him.

I will look into building a good relationship with some hire companies by working with them this time and the next.

Any hire company that you develop a good relationship with will look to support low-budget projects with reduced rate hires, if they can, and depending on equipment availability. But if you haven't rented before, ie you don't have that relationship then it might be harder first time. Doesn't your camera op/DoP have connections you can use?
