Does anyone from the SP community know of any film-friendly pubs and swimming pools in London?

Hi all,

I'm currently producing a music video for an independent pop/rock band from London and looking for two locations.

I've got a minimal budget for this (as per usual eh!) and need to deliver by late April.

Looking for a LONDON SWIMMING POOL and LONDON PUB INTERIOR for half day each approximately.

(Needs to be shot in the London area due to logistics and easy access for the band, cast, crew.)

I've got a few suggestions already but wanted to see if there are any other options or hidden gems I may have missed so if any of you have filmed at any suitable places I would very much appreciate any tips!

Thank you in advance!

Syd

7 years ago I shot a short film in The Albion down Hammersmith Road but they've changed management since so not sure if they would still allow filming there. However, I did use the upstairs for rehearsal space last year so they may be still open to filmmakers.

I have just completed a short film at The Bohemia, North Finchley. It’s more micro brewery and restaurant than ‘pub’ It is very film friendly venue. Does make a change though.

Sorry ‘change’ should read ‘charge’ .

If you need to be central, The Crown & 2 Chairmen in Soho has quite a film & TV crowd, and the upstairs bar may be closed during the day for a modest charge.

Hi,

My crew shot a film in a pub called The Wheatsheaf near Ealing Broadway. They were very easy going and didn't charge anything.

Thank you Paddy and Veronika for your suggestions - I'll be checking those out as well. Much appreciated!
