Does anyone have any experience of filming in Brazil

I'm hoping to film a documentary there so anyone with experience of producing and filming there would be useful. Local contacts would be useful too for established crew. Will also probably need some very savvy, streetwise security.

Hi Brendan, my wife is from São Paulo, and her next door neighbour is a film producer. I'm happy to put you in touch with him, and he speaks excellent English. He has filmed a documentary in and around some of the prisons there, so I trust he has the savvy needed...

I'm from Brazil...
I use to work over there before moving to London...
So tell me more about what you need.
And please, be aware, in Brazil is very difficult find crew for free, it's not like in London. Just in case you are wondering do not pay.

Hey Brendan,

To add to this offering of help...!

I'm a cameraman, slowly but surely building a second life here in Brazil. I'm building a house in Paraty, in the state of Rio. I'm here at the moment, although coming back to London tomorrow, after a few months out here making a start on everything. I made a lot of excellent work contacts these past few months, in both doco and the commercials world, so lots of bilingual high-level film and doco folks, and I speak portuguese also, so perhaps I could be of some help to you here.

Hi Brendan,
I've just got back from Salvador and have made contact with a British filmmaker who is living and set up a production company there. He speaks fluent Portuguese and has a redcam. I can put you in touch if you were thinking of any filmming in Bahia.
