How about HitFilm, AVID free tier, Lightworks instead?

Thanks Paddy, not sure how those work but will look them up. I just want to run a few shots through it to try to fix terrible lighting, add some filters etc. Thanks!!

They are all NLE's with a free tier, AVID and Lightworks are true professional systems, Hitfilm is maybe more suited to what you're after, then, and their free version is https://fxhome.com/express :)
