Someone has already asked this question but there was no reply. Please, does someone out there know of one- preferably free to download but good?

Try http://www.soundrangers.com/ Not free, but very affordable, particularly because it's US based and therefore cheaper buying from the UK.

Loads of stuff uploaded by the general public, great for getting sounds at short notice.
I can't think of a free full library, it doesn't sound like a decent business model, though it would be a very philanthropic one.
Since the profile says you run your own company though, perhaps buying a decent library or subscribing to one of these online ones could be considered a good investment.

Hi Claire, I am not sure what sort of sound you are looking for but you could try freesound.org. It is free to sign up and has more soundclips than a person would know what to do with! Hope this helps. Q

Try Pond5. www.pond5.com. They charge but are very easy to use. Also look at Videonetworks. www.videonetworks.com they have been sending out e-mails recently about unlimited 7 day downloads. Most of the clips companies now have effects sections. - good hunting !
