ASK & DISCUSS
INDEXDoes anyone know any sound editors who work in Da Vinci? Or who know about transferring audio timelines from it to Logic?

Hi everyone, we've come up against a bit of a problem in our edit for our short film and I was hoping somone might be able to help us out!
The edit has all been built in Da Vinci, but we now need to move it to somewhere with an approriate 5.1 surround sound set-up to sort the audio and nowhere uses Da Vinci on its systems.
We have someone willing to do the sound edit if we can get it across into Logic, or alternatively we need to find someone else who is happy to work on sound in Da Vinci as transferring it seems to be impossible...
Any help would be very very much appreciated!
Many thanks in advance,
Lily

I had a quick google and found this, dated from March 2019, on https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=83382

This worked for me:
So in Resolve I first exported an .aaf file of my timeline into a folder. Then I made sure all the original source audio clips were in that folder as well (labelled exactly the same as the audio files in my timeline).
Then simply opened up the .aaf file in Logic and all the audio files came into the correct timeline in the right place! ;)
I then just rendered a low res (Picture Locked) video with no audio for the sound guy to import, as movie in Logic separately.
(Granted if you do this, any audio effects you did in Resolve will not transfer over)
