Me and my team are creating our first feature film and wanted to start applying for funding but don't have the know-how. Is there anyone that has experience in this or can guide us in the right direction.

Read the funding rules and write your pitches for them.
Pitches. Because every one will be different.
Even in the 80's when I used to send CV's, I never sent the same CV to any two jobs.
Every CV was slightly different, emphasizing whatever I thought would help.
My cover letters always made the point that "my next job" looked uncannily like whatever one I was applying for.
Budget : you need your budgets (plural is deliberate) nailed down so you can hand on heart say that "given X, we can deliver Y".

Make sure you have a solid treatment, budget topsheet and it's advantageous to have a least one key crew member with industry experience. It helps that someone within the production has experience bringing a production together from start-to finish. Pitch decks/bibles in addition to a short treatment are also useful as they show visually in more detail the project. I agree with Marlon, when you apply for funding all the rules and guidelines for application will be clearly stated. Good luck!
