When did you last see a field of long grass?
Modern farming methods either have livstock in the field eating the grass, or they grow it as ley, but that is harvested younger than the grass length you want.
Perhaps you are thinking of a hay meadow? These are not commercial any more and so only really exist where they are managed for wildlife habitat. I'd start with the local wildlife trusts.
