INDEXDoes anyone know of any place that can be used for an audition?

I am looking for a place to hold an audition of probably 2 days. As it is for a short film, we don't have a budget to rent the place, but hoping that someone kind has a place ((e.g; a loft in a pub etc) which we can use to hold the auditions, or anyone knows of any place that is not in use on a certain days that we can make arrangements to use it when it's free.
Many thanks!
Eleanor

Hi,
Get a deal at a proper audition rooms such as http://www.spotlight.com/rooms/. The cast will be of a better caliber as they'll know your short is of a certain quality from the outset (very useful for short productions) and the reception staff will queue the actors for you as you inevitably will be running behind schedule. It was money very well spent when I auditioned for my most recent cast.

Thespy peeps: need play rehearsal or, castings space? @etceteratheatre Camden has reduced prices in Feb. Just £8 per hour. #skint
I used the Drayton Arms in Brompton Road, Kensington for a show recently - upstairs theatre. Manager is Leigh. He might be able help you if you ask nicely! Food in the pub is good!

I usually use The Albion along Hammersmith Road as they have an upstairs that's free to use during the day and at nighy providing you let them know. No charge.

Are you in London? I've used a few pubs for rehearsals such as The Royal Inn On The Park, Hackney, where they let us use their upper room if we ate lunch there (so that's about £10 a head per day in other words!) - You'll probably find several pubs would probably do a similar deal if their room is available (though they'll kick you out if a paying customer books it, of course).

I just used the Temperance in Baker Street. £35 for the day. It's a good sized room and not too far from the tube.
