Doesn't have to be that realistic as the shot is from a distance.

Does it need to look like a particular character? If not, hairdressers' practice heads make for good cheap generic heads... if you're looking for a young female heads. Look on eBay - they have lots of mannequin heads, including hairdressers' practice heads. Alternatively, if you are looking for a gory head, search eBay, Amazon, the web For "severed head". Also search the web for "severed head prop".

Hey Sam, where are you based? We have a couple of severed heads you could borrow if you're in/around London. Alternatively, totally second Alwyne's mannequin idea - they work great for wider shots. We've acquired mannequins in the past by asking around department stores etc. They're often throwing out old dummies, so that's definitely worth an ask.

Hi Sam,
Depending where you are based Harvey’s of Hove in Brighton are very helpful and very well priced they have an extensive range of props. Although I would suggest calling them rather than their website.
Hope this is somewhat helpful

Hi Sam,
It looks like people have passed on some great ideas. I just thought I’d get in touch and pass on my details for future projects. I’m a freelance prop maker, my work can be seen on my website https://www.henriettathomas.com
Take a look if you have a spare five minutes in one of the many socially distanced queues.
Best,
Henrietta
